guide to kitchen taps

Kitchen Taps are valves used to control the flow of water and are designed to supply cold and hot potable water for drinking and cleaning in the home.

There a many different types of modern kitchen taps with Thermostatic Mixing Taps becoming the most popular choice. The Thermostatic Mixer Tap works by using a valve to mix the hot and cold water supplies. This type of bathroom and kitchen tap is most common as it allows the user to set the temperature to their desired water temperature and also helps to reduce the risk of scalding.
Also available are Catering Mixer Taps which are starting to find their way into domestic kitchens, they incorporate a spray head for washing fresh fruit and vegetables and to rinse pans and equipment before placing them into dishwashers.
The common Pillar Tap is also a popular choice for kitchens and provides a separate cold and hot water and they are a more traditional type of tap. All though the Pillar Taps is a traditional type of tap modern pillar taps have come a long way from the basic cross head pillar taps with a wide range of contemporary styles available.
